- Successfully developed, managed and led a major, innovative US Department of Energy initiative for US food industry in integrated enterprise energy and asset management (EEM-EAM) advanced technologies. In addition, the successful initiative was selected by the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), California Sea Grant as a pilot for the US seafood industry.
- Design, manage and lead California statewide energy and environmental resource initiatives for the California Energy Commission, Electric Power Research Institute and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory for:
- Power quality technologies and supply chain impacts for California food industry and electric utilities as California food industry evolves from integrated circuit technologies to microprocessor-based technologies in manufacturing operations.
- California food industry progressive demand response research, processes, management and technologies to mitigate statewide energy supply chain impact of high CA food industry summer electricity demand.
- Current statewide initiative leadership in integrated energy-environment resource management and technologies, including water resources and CO2 emissions tracking and reporting on a realtime basis.
- Selected as electricity smart grid initiative leader for the US Air Force-Air Combat Command at Beale AFB, CA and 9th Reconnaissance Wing intelligence operations mission support (i.e. U-2 Dragon Lady, RQ-4 Global Hawk and PAVE PAWS missile defense). The smart grid initiative encompasses the spectrum of federal and state energy supply chain resources, engineering, cyber security and technologies to ensure sustained accomplishment of the Air Force national security mission.
- Designed and led initiative to transfer advanced material handling energy technologies from the US airline industry to the US food industry and other industry segments.
- Designed and implemented leading-edge procurement, supply chain management processes and technologies that are currently industry competitiveness benchmarks in materials management, working capital cost reduction and process efficiencies. Typical = implementation savings yield lowest-effective delivered cost savings improvement of 10-35% contingent upon operations.

- Per a Toyota grant of $1.4 million, was selected as an expert advisor to the Business Environmental Leadership Council for US energy efficiency policies and technologies to mitigate global climate change.
- Appointment as Energy Research & Leadership Fellow to the State of California Smart Grid Center, Sacramento, California
- Established by the California Energy Commission and California State University, Sacramento-College of Engineering & Computer Science to research, develop and apply the statewide and national advancement of energy smart grid infrastructure and associated reliability. Key areas of focus are energy and asset supply chain management process activity, advanced smart grid technologies and cyber security applications integrated with effective sustainability management and environmental stewardship.
- Appointment as Visiting Scholar - California Institute for Food & Agricultural Research (CIFAR) Energy & Supply Chain Management Advisor at the Robert Mondavi Institute for Wine & Food Science, University of California-Davis.
- Selected as a member of a US-Canadian delegation to China for presenting effective integrated energy and environmental resource management strategies and technologies to Chinese industry and government.
